How did they get into the area of music?

They all had different ways of getting into the area of music. In this post I am going to be writing about how they were inspired to get into music:
Younger Days.
Top L+R Danny and Harry.
Bottom L+R Dougie and Tom.
  • Tom Fletcher-He was always a musical person and was interested in performing as he even went to Sylvia Young Theatre school, he played a major part in the play 'Oliver'. But his parents always encouraged him and supported him. His dad was also a major influence as he played in local bands. From the age of 14, Tom started song writing as well as playing and singing. His family was all quite musically gifted as his sister, Carrie, also got into the music industry. The music career started when he auditioned for Busted and helped James Bourne with writing.
  • Danny Jones-He loved music and was always open and interested in different aspects of it. Music was the one thing that would always get him through, he was bullied in school for playing guitar however he took those emotions and turned it into an inspiring song and one of their hits 'Not Alone'. He also had an inspiration, someone who he looked up to through all those years-Bruce Springteen. His sister also went into the music industry. He even auditioned and appeared in a talent show on CBBC when he was a child with his sister, Vicky.
  • Harry Judd-He had has a passion for drumming since he was little and even choose it over his other favourite thing Cricket.  Harry was known as the 'posh' member of Mcfly as he had a  education in two leading independent private schools and lived in a small village, so he had the choice of having a normal job but his drumming was always what he wanted. His music career started when he featured in Busted 'Crashed the wedding'.
  • Dougie Poynter- He was also always into music as a child, he's played bass since he was 13 years old. His childhood friends also were, which did influence him, he was in a band called 'Ataiz' with all of them. While he was in Ataiz, he also wrote for them which opened up another pathway for him. He also had an idol, which he looks up too and inspires him in music, which is Tom DeLonge from Blink 182. Blink 182 was Dougie's favourite band and he loved them ever since he was a teenager and still loves them now. He's even has a shrine of posters of Blink 182. His big break in the music industry was when he joined Mcfly.
